Blaine County Dog Licensing Program

Why purchase a dog license?

State law requires that your dog be licensed in the county in which you reside.
Dogs 6 months of age or older must be licensed annually.
A license is a form of identification which will aid in reuniting lost pets with their owners.
The revenue received from licensing program goes to the Animal Shelter to operate the program and help fund the shelter.

How the licensing program works?

The Animal Shelter manages a database with tag numbers. Every dog is issued a different number with the
owner's information linked to the number. Lost dogs can be identified by their specific tag numbers and returned to their owners All dog licenses require proof of current rabies vaccine.
